Safety will be first and foremost.

Details of the match:

  •  4 Stages on 4 different K.Y.L. style targets
    • You will be allowed to shoot from a prone position or from a shooting bench, at the shooter’s discretion.
  • Each stage will be a round count of 10 rounds
  • Points will be awarded for impacts
  • Each stage will be timed at 135 seconds

Points will be as follows:

Targets Points
Largest Target 1 Point
2nd Largest Target 2 Points
Medium Target 3 Points
2nd Smallest Target 4 Points
Smallest Target 5 Points

Targets can be shot in any sequence. However, the shooter must call their shots prior to shooting.  The shooter can choose to go for more points and try 10 shots at the smallest target, which would be up to 50 points if all attempts were impacts.  Or the shooter can stay on the safe side and send all 10 rounds at the biggest target, gaining 10 points.  The shooter can also choose to shoot any target in any order that they choose.

When not shooting:

Bolt Gun:

  • The bolt must be open with the chamber flag inserted and the mag out.

Gas Gun:

  • BCG must be back with the chamber flag inserted and mag out.

Time will start when the shooter is ready to engage with the bolt open and mag in.  The shooter will give a verbal “shooter ready” signal, then the spotter/scorer will give a “standby” and say “engage” when time starts. When time starts, the shooter can then close the bolt and start engaging targets.
